I co-founded PaperRock after realising how difficult it is for small businesses, sole traders and startups to find legal templates online that are high quality and legally accurate. I’ve met countless small business owners who complain about engaging lawyers to write documents such as NDA’s, only to find that they’ve been charged large sums for juniors to draft something basic. The same thing tends to happen with legal document providers on the internet too. Drafters are often inexperienced, without the years of working with business clients in legal practice behind them and the resulting expertise that this brings. When you buy a template from the internet or subscribe to a document management platform, you may not be paying hundreds to a legal firm but you could still be buying a junior lawyer’s work. In the business legal world, experience counts and at PaperRock we do things differently. I am proud of that. I bring a creative vision to our business and manage our diverse and growing team. I love a challenge and can get very driven – traits that come in useful in the day-to-day running of PaperRock. When I’m not working you’ll find me enjoying time with my children, hiking across the South Downs or getting stuck into another good book.
